Welcome to the TownCrier’s Daily Discord Digest.

In this space, we at the TownCrier will attempt to provide a daily digest of select conversations at the Official GemStone IV Discord server covering a 24-hour period from 10 pm EST the night previous to 10 pm EST of the night listed in the title. Not all conversations will be (nor can be) reported and we will endeavor to utilize a neutral tone (although our unique senses of humor may show through).

Links may go to the Official Discord post itself, to the GemStone IV Wiki, or other useful and relevant places. In the case of Discord links, those links will send you to the Discord web interface. If you are not signed in, you will need to be signed in to see them.

The digest was created by and is edited by the player of Qafziel Nalfein/Darcena Wolf-Valslayer – Jen. Have an error to report on this digest or some information to pass along? Contact Jen on Discord at ArmyJen#0001 or e-mail her. Please reference which digest day to which you are referring.

General Gemstone IV

#general

Tysong reminded us, “Being #1 in [the referral] line doesn’t mean you’ll be answered first just like being #19 doesn’t mean you’ll be last. That number can go up/down as players login who have pending referrals. Also a lot of referrals wait a long time due to only 1 or 2 GMs being able to handle the specific referral issue in question. So you could sit at #1 for days just out of the sheer fact that the 1 GM that can fix your issue is likely busy with RL stuff. It’s not that the other GMs are ignoring you and you’re being singled out, it’s just that for some situations, only specific GMs have the knowledge/approval/ability to fix the pending referral issue. So #19 could get answered before the rest of those if a GM that is logged in is able to deal with your issue but the others are out of their scope of work/ability.”

#mechanics

Ososis provided some numbers on the Voln bless question from yesterday.

Naamit asked, “Any ETA on when enhancements will be finished so PREP PHRASING can support multiple custom preps for the same spell (same goes for mana bread and major sanct)?”

#help

Rykam asked, “Any consideration to having a more open method (e.g. Trello) of identifying what’s being worked and what, if any, suggestions from the community are being planned for implementation?”

The orase runestaff has been dyed a reddish-gold hue, capturing the blaze of a sun setting on the horizon. Spiralling up the staff’s length are a series of amber roots, ending at the top which is capped with a red crystalline shard.
