This afternoon, a group of scribes were spotted around town handing out the first edition of a news publication called “The Daily Darkstone.” Thought to be possibly run by former workers for the Elanthian Journal, the writers were proud to announce their new outreach in helping get unbiased information out to the townspeople of Wehnimer’s Landing.

“We have a duty to make sure the truth is known to all of the people of Wehnimer’s Landing. Not just some lies spread by those in power, or those wanting power.” One of the scribes was overheard saying.

The Daily Darkstone went on to allegedly report that the Brotherhood of Rooks had owned and been operating some smuggling ships that had been destroyed in the middle of the night as they sought to enter town. The next morning, debris floated up onto the shores of Darkstone Bay and when asked about the Brotherhood’s operations, Mayor Leafiara was overheard saying, “That’s not illegal.” Some argue that the Mayor has made it no secret she supports the Brotherhood of Rooks. Rumors have now circulated that she is perhaps even using her office to create profits for them.

Additionally, the Daily Darkstone claims that Draught, a squire of the Silver Gryphons, confiscated some of the items from the debris that washed ashore and left hurriedly with it so it could not be examine. One townsperson was quoted as saying, “The Gryphons are clearly trying to cover up something. Maybe they’re in bed with the Rooks too. Even armor doesn’t always shine.”
