GM Xayle announces Fishing in River’s Rest! You can fish from 8 places in the Rest now, fresh or salt water, new fish, and more. The Tackle shop is down the ladder on the dilapidated pier. Once a month, there’ll be raffles in that Tackle Shop Backroom for citizens, too!

Fishing in River’s Rest is now available for realz.

There are eight locations in and around town where you can fish until your heart’s content. Two are saltwater locations, the rest are fresh, and there are a little over 50 new fish distinct to River’s Rest.

You’ll find the tackle shop down the ladder on the dilapidated pier.

Also in the shop is a backroom for citizens of River’s Rest where there will be monthly raffles. I hope to get that started up this month, but if not, definitely September.

I had no idea there was spots around town until I tried under the……anyhow after that I decided to try the other..well…there was fish there too. I managed to catch a couple right outside the new shop using the lure suggested by the shop owner, once I figured out the best equipment to use along with it. I’m still trying to get a hang of this new way of fishing, we had much better luck using nets on the islands, of course I can’t say the experience is the same as using nets, much less work and plenty of time for drinking between fish.

Fun! I recall submitting some fish suggestions upon a time, but of course by now I have totally forgotten what I said.

After some investigation in the coming days, we will probably move the Goatfest Fishing Contest to one of the new locations, to try to spread the word.

We did a bit of exploring during the BHA meeting and found all the fishing spots if anyone was wanting a list.
