Rone Delivers Warning to Those in the Shadows
The white cloaked figure in the Landing is now going by Rone and warns of the darkness that lurks in the landing…and names the Mayor by name. It looks like we have a winner for who the Vigilante is and he’s going by Rone. Another Saturday night in the Landing…

The vigilante “Rone” appears at Walkar’s grave and gives a warning to those “celebrating in shadows,” saying he’s returned to bring justice, will clean the streets of the Landing and empty of it shadows, and calls Mayor Cruxophim the heart of the problem who has poisoned the town.Log
Rone Speaks
A cold chill moves through the area.
[Town Square Central]
This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer’s Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. Some townspeople’s voices can be heard gossiping nearby, “…they say the white avenger could be Rone himself…back from the grave to reclaim his town….”
Some townspeople’s voices can be heard gossiping nearby, “…others say he might be Walkar’s ghost…turning in his grave….”
Some townspeople’s voices can be heard gossiping nearby, “…What if it’s the orc…come back but carrying out some justice he couldn’t before…”
A swirl of white mist appears nearby, then vanishes.
[Leafiara immediately runs off searching for him and I assume a search ensues for others too]
A swirl of white mist appears near Lorminstra’s Temple, then disappears through the graveyard gate.
[Temple, Graveyard]
A small group of people stands around a newly-covered grave here in the Temple’s shadow. A priest, dressed in solemn clothing, leads the people in a soft song. While the key is minor, the words rejoice that the departed one now rests beyond the hardships of life, safe within Lorminstra’s grasp. You also see a smooth granite headstone with some stuff on it, a row of small stone markers and a small grey tombstone.
Also here: RoneYou glance at Rone.
>look rone
You see a white cloaked figure wreathed in swirling ethereal mist. Beneath the cowl of his pale hood appears to be a featureless face of polished metal or bone. Shadowy eyes stare out, coldly regarding the surroundings. The rest of the figure’s form is obscured by the fog constantly shifting about its form. You tentatively greet, “Good evening.”
Puptilian just moved quietly into the area, his group following closely.
Albanus just arrived.
Sir Cryheart’s group just arrived.
Speaking suspiciously to Rone, you say, “Not like you to meet so many so openly tonight.”
Speaking heartily to Rone, Chamorr says, “Good evenin.”
Cryheart says, “Hello.”
Cryheart nods at Rone.
Speaking to Rone, Puptilian asks, “You pick Walkar’s grave?”
Pukk quietly says, “Rone….”
Jynai softly says, “Of all that’s dark and unholy….”
Rone stands behind the granite headstone, safely from the crowd.
Albanus squints at Rone.
Cryheart glances at Rone.
Speaking to Rone, Puptilian asks, “You are not Walkar or Rone. Who are you?”
Speaking softly to Rone, Jynai says, “Welcome home.”
Nehor disdainfully remarks, “Oh is it a spirit after all? How droll.”
Speaking to Rone, Albanus says, “Throw down your weapons and surrender peaceful-like.”
Bernadette nods at Rone.
Cruxophim cocks his head at Rone.
Rone deeply says, “They call me Rone.”
Speaking idly to Cruxophim, you say, “Curious.”
Jynai softly says, “Keep the weapons and let’s take this place once and for all…”
Speaking calmly to Rone, Cruxophim greets, “Well, Rone… good evening.”
Speaking to Rone, Maylan asks, “And what do you call yourself?”
Rone deeply says, “I am all Wehnimer’s Landing needs.”
Cryheart says, “A pleasure.”
Rubi asks, “Named after someone famous?”
Speaking to Rone, Albanus says, “I call you a murderer, turn yourself in for your crimes.”
Speaking surreptitiously to Rone, Cruxophim inquires, “Are you, now?”
Cryheart says, “Town is named after Wehnimer Rone.”
Speaking curiously to Rone, you say, “Think it’s going to need a lot more than you considering what Pup told us your goals are.”
Speaking to Rone, Puptilian says, “A name is just that a name. One’s actions, especially criminal, shows the real intent of the person.”
Speaking to Cruxophim, Stonmel says, “Aren’t you going to have this killer arrested? Seems they are claiming to be the one who’s been breaking the laws.”
Speaking to Rone, Albanus says, “You are no spirit or ghost or wraith, you’re a living person.”
Speaking calmly to Rone, Cruxophim remarks, “You don’t seem that imposing a presence to me, but I suppose looks can be deceiving.”
Nehor confides, “Did you not know? The town militia doesn’t do its job. They are weak and impotent.”
Cruxophim calmly inquires, “Well, Captain?”
Cruxophim cocks his head at Stormyrain.
Speaking darkly to Rone, Wolfloner says, “Are you not the curious one.”
Ulkov says, “Yea.. somethin ain’t sittin right, here.”
Nehor observes, “I guess that’s why this chap decided to take matters into his own hands.”
Speaking to Cruxophim, Stormyrain says, “I just walked in. I’ve no idea what has been going on.”
Wolfloner joins Rone’s group.
Cruxophim points at Rone.
Wolfloner darkly says, “Show us what you will.”
Speaking to Rone, Dreuntar asks, “Whatever happened to your statue?”
Rone deeply says, “I have much more to show you.”
Speaking calmly to Stormyrain, Cruxophim states, “I believe this person is claiming to be Rone.”
Cryheart asks, “And what would that be?”
Stormyrain settles her gaze on Rone, watching him intently.
Rone deeply says, “I have returned to bring justice to my home.”
The night watchman just arrived.
Cryheart glances at the night watchman.
You glance between Rone and the night watchman.
You gaze hopefully at the night watchman.
Speaking to the night watchman, Stonmel exclaims, “Arrest him!”
Speaking to Rone, Albanus says, “You’re in for it now.”
Speaking to the night watchman, Arnylon says, “There’s the vigilante.”
Speaking to Rone, Madmountan says, “Good luck.”
Cruxophim nods once to the night watchman.
Stonmel points at Rone.
Rone deeply says, “Consider this a warning, to those celebrating in the shadows.”
Goldstr nods to the night watchman.
Nehor glances between Stonmel and the night watchman.
Speaking to Rone, Berkana says, “Well, it’s about time someone did. We’ve had a horrible time of it as of late.”
Cruxophim takes a moment to observe Rone.
Cryheart asks, “Does that include Rooks?”
Evia asks, “Celebrating what?”
You slowly repeat, “Celebrating… in the shadows…”
The night watchman glances at you sideways and seems to contemplate the meaning of your existence.
Speaking amusedly to the night watchman, you say, “Not me. Maybe him.”
Rone deeply says, “I will come for every face of corruption in this town, and I will not be stopped until we are better off.”
Speaking heartily to the night watchman, Chamorr says, “Howdy.”
Stiana glances at the night watchman.
Speaking coldly to Rone, Cruxophim warns, “Don’t threaten me, boy, or our town.”
Speaking boredly to Rone, Marijka says, “May as well start with yourself.”
Rone deeply says, “You are no exception Mayor Cruxophim, in fact, you are the heart of the problem.”
Ulkov says, “You better be a ghost, then.”
Speaking to Rone, Nehor quips, “You’ve your work cut out for you, friend.”
Ulkov says, “Gonna take an eternity.”
Cryheart asks, “Are you deciding upon yourself who is corrupt or not, Rone?”
Marijka says, “Throwing explosives around innocents isn’t justice.”
Speaking to Puptilian, Eshielle says, “I like this guy already.”
Speaking to Rone, you wonder, “How can you be so sure? The last person this confident in himself was Dennet.”
Speaking to herself, Stormyrain murmurs, “Remarkable.”
Speaking to Rone, Berkana asks, “Well, hold on… your definition of corrupt? Based upon what facts?”
Speaking curiously to Rone, Rubi says, “Speaking of faces, why is part of yours metal? If I might pry a bit.”
Speaking calmly to Rone, Cruxophim remarks, “Seems to me you’ve committed far more murder than I in a single eve.”
Speaking to Cruxophim, Arnylon asks, “See what happens when you commission a play?”
Chamorr heartily says, “Get the tar an feathers.”
Speaking quietly to Rone, Wolfloner says, “If you are the face of justice show us your true face.”
Rone deeply says, “I know what you do in the dark of night Mayor.”
Berkana says, “I mean… I’ve been accused of corrupting several, mostly men.”
Berkana shrugs.
Rone deeply says, “I know where you go when you pass through the shadows.”
Speaking to Rone, Maylan says, “Surely you should leave his love life out of this.”
Speaking calmly to Rone, Cruxophim muses, “Do you, now?”
Speaking to Rone, Madmountan says, “Which of my misdeeds was I attacked for? Just curious.”
Berkana says, “And I don’t think they really complained.”
You mutter, “This is going very strange places.”
Speaking to Rone, Marijka suggests, “Maybe you should simply reveal all these secrets and let legitimate authority take over from there.”
Rhayveign exclaims, “To sleep… when I go into the shadows, I’m goin’ there for sleep. The big secret’s out now!”
Rone deeply says, “I’ll clean the streets of Wehnimer’s Landing and empty the shadows of my home. The heart will be cut out as well. You’ve poisoned this town Cruxophim.”
Speaking calmly to Stormyrain, Cruxophim states, “He’s certainly claiming to be.”
Speaking to Rone, Geijon says, “Assume you accomplish these plans. Will you be able to stop? Who will stop you then.”
Speaking to Cruxophim, Stormyrain says, “Well then, he’s wanted for several murders within the town walls.”
Madmountan says, “Hope he’s got a big broom.”
Speaking to Rone, Albanus says, “You’re not above the law.”
Lylia repeats, “Your home. You have lived here some time, then.”
Speaking to the night watchman, Stonmel asks, “Isn’t threatening to kill the mayor a crime anymore in this town?”
Speaking softly to Rone, Quintiana says, “You’re daft.”
Speaking to Rone, Albanus says, “Your crimes must be paid for.”
Speaking seriously to Rone, you claim, “I was kind of on your side until you went after the Rooks, but this has gone too far.”
Speaking coldly to Rone, Cruxophim states, “I’m here when you want me.”
Xorus says, “Charming. Give Osriar Melenthrope my regards.”
Speaking to Cruxophim, Marijka says, “He doesn’t want you. He wants to pursue a hidden agenda with public support.”
Speaking to Rone, Maylan says, “I think you are mistaken, mister. Our Mayor is kind and just.”
Speaking to Rone, Rubi asks, “Why do you feel like Crux is the center of this town’s problems?”
Speaking to Cruxophim, Berkana says, “He might need to fight through a contingent of others to get to you.”
Speaking darkly to Rone, Wolfloner asks, “Who are you really?”
Speaking quietly to Cruxophim, Nehor suggests, “Maybe if you surrender, he will be lenient? If not, you can always flee. In fact, it is my preferred method!”
Speaking quietly to Goblyn, Pukk whispers aloud, “I think Cruxy is going to eat him.”
Speaking bemusedly to Pukk, Cruxophim ponders, “Maybe I should.”
You recognize Wolfloner using the Symbol of Recognition. [possibly an important point that nobody else thought of as far as I could see in the log–the Symbol of Recognition would identify Rone as undead or not]
Cruxophim sneaks up to Rone.
Speaking suggestively to Rone, Albanus says, “I’m thinking the Judge might grant some form of clemency if you go peaceful.”
Speaking to Pukk, Ysharra says, “I wouldn’t bet against him.”
Rone spins, the white cloak swirling out from the figure’s form like a curtain of ash and the figure disappears in a cloud of ethereal mist that dissipates behind Walkar’s grave.
Take off the mask and I’m betting on sea-blue eyes…
