Subj: PlayerShop Testing
Hey everyone, if you get a chance please hop onto the test server and try messing with Playershops. Only the landing is currently set up for testing. If you do not have a landing citizen, let me know.
To purchase one visit the local permit office in the warehouse. From there, you can (While holding the new permit) go to any existing playershop room in the landing and SHOP CLAIM.
The more people we have testing, the faster I can work out the kinks. The existing PlayerShop functionality has not been touched from the live environment. Mainly looking at claiming and new people getting set up. (As many as possible)

I’d be happy to test but don’t have a Landing citizen. If Katie can be set up as one on the test server, I’ll go try it out tomorrow.

I am interested in testing the player run shops. I used the test server, I am assuming the front end is Stormfront. I am used to using the Wizard front end so I was totally lost in the test server’s front end. I did find the workshop rental manager, but I didn’t know where the office manager is for the shops. I don’t suppose I could test this in the Wizard front end?

Wander around in the warehouse, each room has different functions for your shops. There are two floors. The permit person is on the first floor, either directly e or w of the entry.
I don’t know why it would not work in Wizard, you just wouldn’t be able to test the link menus. I run around half the time without any links turned on 🙂

I was interested in helping test this, but have no characters on the server. I created one but wasn’t much I could do.

If this still needs testing, I am more than happy to bumble around like the ignorant individual I am. Darcena is not currently a WL citizen despite her best efforts, so would need a boost on the test server.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to test. Nothing alarming stood out, but the sample size was low.
I’ll be moving into a live testing phase here within the next week. During this, I’ll try releasing a very limited number of shops to prime.
These will be short duration raffles and I will not give a lot of notice. I’ll post to discord, twitter, and do an in game announcement. I’ll also be rotating through the realms to make sure each realm behaves as intended.
I will try to give them out at different times and will be monitoring while the shop is set up to watch.
I’ll start with the landing.
For those asking about shattered and platinum, I’m not doing much there until I finish with prime.

Something is still not working right in Prime. I haven’t managed to get an assist, yet alone a referral, because every time I can log in there is no staff on duty. But even if the shop abandonment routine was working correctly there is no crate from my closed shops so that part is definitely broken and I’ve got a bunch of stuff in the ether somewhere.

Don’t let that stop you from placing the assist. Many times we’re there, but not on duty — if we see something that needs to be addressed, we’ll hop on duty to take care of it.

Aspen, please place an ASSIST even if you do not see anyone online.
The abandoned shops are something that are still being manually evicted. I do those in waves. While the shop is stuck between abandoned, and evicted, there is no crate.
Once the shop is evicted, you will have a crate available.
